Study BSc (Hons) in Marketing in the UK
Marketing has become one of the– if not the – most crucial of all business disciplines. It can make or break a business. This dynamic degree is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in marketing; it will challenge your preconceived ideas and provoke you to consider forward-thinking strategies and cutting-edge business practices. Guest lecturers from the industry and expert staff will help you to develop strong communication skills and a cultural awareness, essential in the creative and innovative modern marketing environment.
We’ll equip you with analytical and strategic skills to enable you to think critically about marketing scenarios and make informed strategic decisions. To complement your lectures and seminars, you’ll have the chance to undertake a 30-week placement, which can be completed anywhere in the world.
Course Overview
The course is designed to expand knowledge in three pivotal areas of marketing.
In 1st year you will get knowledge about the behaviour of consumers, marketing research and the management of brands.
In Year 2 you will also get the chance to tailor you degree by choosing either our New Product Development and Innovation module or Advertising and Sales Promotion and either the Customer Engagement Marketing module or Entrepreneurial Marketing.
In Year 3 you will study three compulsory modules in Marketing Strategy and Planning, Services Marketing Management and Global and Cross-cultural Marketing. You will also be able to choose two options from a wider list of specialist marketing modules.To enhance your learning experience you will be provided with a handbook for each modules.
Entry Requirements
Our entry requirements provide a guide to the qualifications that you’ll need to study our courses. We understand that recent changes to exams and assessments mean you might be worried about your qualifications, so we’re taking a flexible approach to admissions this year. We’ll do our best to consider your application on an individual basis and look at more than your grades when we’re making a decision.
Applications from mature candidates without formal qualifications are welcomed, provided they can demonstrate appropriate levels of relevant ability and experience.

Visas and immigration
You will not need a visa to study in the UK if you are a citizen of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland. If you are a national of any other country you may need a visa to study in the UK.
English language requirements for international students
You must have competence in English language to study with us. The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in all components). We also normally require Grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification.

Our BA Honours Marketing course prepares you for a wide range of marketing careers or for further study at postgraduate level.
